      Three sectors

Every face of the valley skis differently.

      The honest bit

      It's steep.
      That's the point.

Most resorts paint their map. Ours is routed: every run was traced across the real terrain by an algorithm that refuses cliffs and pays for every metre steeper than the grade it was given. A green was asked for on the north side. The hill said no. So the north side has no green, and we print the numbers instead of the adjectives.

      Getting here

      By rail, mostly.

The valley station is a seven-minute walk from the Kalta Express. Two hours and forty minutes from the airport, one change. If you drive, the road is cleared by 06:00 and the car park is at the far end of the village, which is the point.

      The season

      6 December to 19 April.

The north side faces the right way and keeps its snow; the last weeks are usually skied on Sunside in the afternoon with a beer at the plateau hut. Lifts run 08:30 to 16:15, an hour later in March.
